Fati's new role as an apprentice at a three-star Michelin restaurant, brought her new skills, reflections and direction.

The Centre Stage 2016 competition saw many chefs across the US compete over several months to win an apprenticeship with a prestigious Michelin-starred restaurant of their choice. On Nov 7, 2016, the top 4 chefs competed in the final cook-off in Los Angeles and it was our own Fati who won for “her impeccable execution, focus and skill throughout the day”. Fatima chose to go to Meadowood, a three-star Michelin restaurant, managed by Chef Christopher Kostow. She recorded several short videos throughout her stay describing her activities and her thoughts. This Day 20 recording is incredibly thoughtful and Fati not only shares her day to day activities but reflects on the last few years and what it’s like being a “stagier” at this point in her career.
